For Amazon.com, the requirements are:
- Be registered on Seller Central as a Seller
- A valid trademark registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in the principal registry, or a pending trademark application (with its application/serial number), for the products and services offered through Amazon.
- The trademark can be a wordmark or a combined mark of an image plus text words or numbers
For other countries, the requirements are to have a valid trademark registration, or a pending trademark application, with the Trademark Office of the country, for the products and services offered through Amazon, and that the trademark be a wordmark or a combined mark of an image with text words or numbers.
In the European Union member countries, the trademark can be registered by the National Trademark Office or the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). Since Brexit, a European Union trademark does not cover the United Kingdom, which requires a UK (UKIPO) trademark.
In the United Arab Emirates, there is an additional requirement since all text words in the trademark must be in English characters.
