OAPI operates a unitary system. You file one application, and the resulting registration is automatically valid in all 17 of its member states. You cannot pick and choose among them.
ARIPO (headquartered in Zimbabwe)
ARIPO works on a selective basis. When you apply, you choose the specific member countries where you want your trademark to be protected.
