Information and documents you'll need
To file a trademark application, you'll generally need to gather the following:
- The mark itself: the name or the logo you want to protect.
- Applicant information: the details of the owner, whether that's an individual or a company.
- Your goods or services: a list of what the mark will cover, organized under the Nice Classification system.
- A Power of Attorney: in some countries, this document must also be notarized and/or legalized.
