Your options when infringement happens
When someone infringes a trademark you have registered, there are three main ways to respond:
- Cease and desist letter: send a formal letter demanding that the infringing activity stop.
- Opposition or cancellation: file a filing with the trademark office to challenge the other party's mark.
- Court action: take legal action to seek damages and an injunction that stops the infringement.
