Base country defined
Your base country is the country whose application or registration serves as the starting point when you want to extend your trademark to other countries.
Requirements
- The base country has to belong to the Madrid System.
- Your trademark must already be filed or registered there before you can ask for it to be extended to other countries.
- You need a real connection to that country: nationality, domicile, or a business incorporated there.
